Backup Pro 25: Issue . When you create a plan that does a full backup and later a certain number of increments, the name of the full backup folder in window 10 becomes what I would consider the increment date and the incremental folder the full backup date. Example, folder 2024-07-03 19-40-47 contains 4.5GB of data and folder 2024-07-05 02-11-27 contains 164GB. Issue 2: the view reports display the finish and start date in europeon format: Under Finshed the date is 03/07/2024 and started 034/07/2024. Issue 3:I am not sure that this is an issue, but The "full and Incremental" PLan always says, "Temperarly suspended" in the overview even though there were no issues saving to the plan, and no problems doing a full restore to the C drive from the "Full and Incremental" plan. Also, using service to send customer support these very issues, says a It cant send because of a firewall issue even though I turned the firewall off.
I completed the questions up to page (5) then took a shortcut version.
On completing all remaining questions I was confident all was well.
On reading the summary on last page I noticed the Backup Format was "Image Backup"
Thinking Image Backup was backing up only my Images (Photos) I hit the back button & lost all data.
Question:
Does "Image Backup" mean a method of storing data ...or just backing up my Images?
Such is life.
@roblest36
An image backup is a complete snapshot of a computer's entire system, including the operating system, applications, settings, and data files. This type of backup can be used to restore the system to its exact state at the time the backup was made, making it useful for disaster recovery.
Hello elgpr
Thanks for your feedback.
Question 1
we will check that
Question 2
I reported a bug for this because it seems like a fixed date format is being used instead of the operating system's regional settings.
Question 3
Backup shows this 'Temporarily interrupted' message when there is no access to the target path.
I would suggest to contact out support team. They will guide you in getting logfiles: support@ashampoo.com
hello @elgpr
i checked you question 2
This is what happens when you select the Reverse Incremental backup type.
Reverse Incremental means that the latest backup folder always contains the full backup file. The great thing is, you can simply delete older folders (like from 2024-08-15) without breaking anything. Other backup tools need to regularly rewrite the entire backup files when they want to delete old revisions, but reverse incremental makes that unnecessary.
Thank you for the information
